Each pack contains two types of tablets. The white tablets contain estradiol valerate and the pale brown tablets contain estradiol valerate in combination with norgestrel. Estradiol valerate (previously spelt oestradiol valerate in the UK) and norgestrel are forms of the main female sex hormones, oestrogen and progesterone. Estradiol valerate is a naturally occuring form of oestrogen and norgestrel is a synthetic form of progesterone.WomensÆ ovaries gradually produce less and less oestrogen in the period up to the menopause, and oestrogen blood levels decline as a result. The declining levels of oestrogen can cause distressing symptoms, such as irregular periods, hot flushes, night sweats, mood swings and vaginal dryness or itching.Oestrogen (in this case in the form of estradiol valerate) can be given as a supplement to replace the falling levels in the body and help reduce these distressing symptoms of the menopause. This is known as hormone replacement therapy (HRT). The white tablets taken in the first 11 days of each Cyclo-Progynova cycle contain only estradiol. The brown tablets taken in the next 10 days of each cycle contain both estradiol and norgestrel. After these 21 days you then have a seven day tablet-free break before the next cycle is started, rather like the combined contraceptive pill. If you are taking montelukast once a day on a regular basis, you should not take an additional dose before exercising. You may also pour the entire packet of granules onto a clean spoon and place the spoonful of medication in your child's mouth. If you prefer, you may mix the entire packet of granules in 1 teaspoon of cold or room temperature baby formula, breastmilk, applesauce, soft carrots, ice cream, or rice. You should not mix the granules with any other foods or liquids, but your child may drink any liquid right after he or she takes the granules. If you mix the granules with one of the allowed foods or drinks, use the mixtures within 15 minutes. Gatifloxacin is an antibiotic in a group of drugs called fluoroquinolones. Verapamil is used with or without other medications to treat high blood pressure (hypertension), chest pain (angina) and certain types of irregular heartbeat. It can also control your heart rate if you have a fast/irregular heartbeat. Verapamil is called a calcium channel blocker. It works to control blood pressure by relaxing blood vessels so blood can flow more easily, helping the heart work less hard to pump blood through your body. This effect, along with the relaxation of narrowed heart blood vessels, may also relieve the symptoms of angina.
